Hi, I’m Emily Downe.

I am an animation director, illustrator and designer from London. My films explore research-driven themes, from science and philosophy to societal challenges and the human story, expressed through evocative 2D, frame by frame animation.

I am co-founder and co-director of Studio Desk, as well as independently creating films that poetically explore rich research and ideas about the world we live in.
